PsychMDs Collaborative Care is a rapid online Psychiatry consult service for rural outpatient Primary Care Providers (MD/NP/PA), offering clarification and guidance for the care of patients with psychiatric conditions. Folowing comprehensive review of the patient’s records as submitted by the Primary Care provider, PsychMDs provides a timely, clearly written report summarizing the case and providing personalized recommendations to help guide the treatment of the patient. Normally, PsychMDs can complete a consult within a few business days. PsychMDs aims to expand access to Psychiatry expertise and improve the quality of mental health care in rural areas.
